So I picked up a 2015 LC200 (Amazon Green Metallic - see poor cell phone pic attached) and have been cleaning it all weekend.

I ran across some areas and am curious what other people do or use to clean/protect:

1. The black plastic (ABS or ?) on the outside of the doors and adjacent to the window glass;

2. the perforated leather (worried about clogging the pores);

3. the dash (seems like plastic and not leather?);

4. The non-shiny plastic front grill portion (behind the Toyota emblem on the front); and

5. The roof rails (which appear to be painted black).

Thanks.

Use 303 Aero space protectant will handle everything mentioned. You have coated leather use woolite mixed with water to clean and the 303 protectant to protect also will protect all plastics and dash from sun damage.

This stuff? Never seen it before. Tell us more.

@elkaholic reccomended 303 to me a few months ago. I bought some and LOVE it.

Congrats on the Amazon Green LC200!

On a whim, I had my entire exterior and wheels professionally treated with OptiCoat and the windows and sunroof with OptiGlass. Washing a vehicle has never been so easy and if it lasts the 5 years (3 yrs on glass) claimed of not having to wax it'll be awesome. My days of going over the vehicle with a toothbrushes and Q-Tips seem to be over, but I'm happy with the results of a wash and microfiber chamois...

Interior detailing I've been using Griot's Garage products:

I've been pleased with the Griot's stuff (and like that the leather cleaner smells like leather) but I gotta check out the 303 just to keep up my stockpile of detailing supplies...

Just out of curiosity, in what part of the country did you find Amazon Green? They are pretty rare from what I can tell. I've never seen one for sale in CA where I'm located.

Even with a cell phone shot, your truck looks great! Cool color for sure. :cheers:

What I found works great and is super easy and the best shine ever. ICE spray on wax with a micro fiber cloth. Takes 5 minutes to do the outside of the LC/LX, I do mind at least once a week always looks great.

Thanks everyone for their answers.

I gave the paint a full Zaino treatment (AIO, 2 coats of Z5 with crosslinker, 1 coat of Z2 with crosslinker and Z8). It's garaged at home and at work, and I have found on previous vehicles I can get at least 12 months out of Zaino with periodic detailing (1-2X per week for me) using the Z8 or Z6.

I am in Southwestern Virginia. I had to wait (and hope) for about 6 months for the green one. Dealer said was pure luck and even they were surprised it actually showed up.

WOW that is just to much work for me ;)

Amazon has a lot of different 303 protectants. Which one do you use?

Congrats on the purchase. Best color
IMHO. I see you're in VA, some regions of the country don't have access to that color. I'm still trying to understand the restriction.

Is the non-perforated leather coated as well? Meaning the years without ventilated seats.

I love lexol leather and lexol vinyl for the interior.
For wax I love Collonitte 845. Nothing goes on or comes off easier. Don't be fooled by the price. Everyone who tries it loves it. You warm up the bottle in hot water so it goes on as a liquid, it glazes over and you buff it off. Whole truck can be done in under an hour. For $20 give it a try

They also make a #915 which is a traditional Carnuaba paste wax. It's a lot of work like any other traditional wax.
I've tried all kind of expensive waxes and think 99% of them are simply over priced.

How about a Sticky Thread on Truck care specific to Land Cruisers and LXs. I'd love to hear what others use

I would not try to understand it. It seems there is no rhyme or reason. When I was trying to get mine, 9 of 10 dealers said Toyota would not make a green one for the mid-Atlantic region. The last dealer (very large volume Toyota dealer) contacted the mid-Atlantic Toyota rep. who said "there is almost a zero chance we can get it, but I will put in the order and see what happens." So, perhaps the Mt. Fuji gods smiled upon me or more likely it was pure dumb luck that they made it. I suspect they had a green one on the schedule and just allocated it to my dealer when they asked.

Perhaps a lack of a resale. Certain colors sit in dealer lots new or used for too long so they just don't allocate the production of those colors??
I've never seen anything but grey, white, black Or silver 200 in NY.

I attributed it to the LC200 and LX are both available in black, white, gray and silver. So produce more of the common colors for 2 different vehicles for efficiency purposes. Green seems to only be available for the LC and certain other rare colors seem only available for the LX.

Someone around here has what looks to be a 2008-2009 LC in a light blue color. Looks very nice.

I never see my color going down the road. I bought it because of price and mileage and condition. Normally I'm a black,white,grey guy. But this Ruby Red color really grew on me. With the Gold trim I feel like a real Pimp!!
