Well guys after this summer of totally enjoying my 60 (maybe a little too much)
it's time to do some fixing first off is a rear rebuild. Of course im doing this myself while also installing an aussie locker are there any "secrets" i should know besides the fsm then onto a transfer case rebuild i hope not the tranny. And then i'll look at the front end rebuild and probably lincoln lock it. The big question is where do i go to for parts? Since after all the misses watches the money and with two little ones my hobby/transportation isn't supposed to cost any money at least in here eyes. Well guys thanks in advance for any help i recieve, and just help me get back out in the woods please. After mine gets rebuilt at least partially then we have to reebuild me bros 83 mini with the blown motor.

Thanks
Bryon

b&bFJ,

I'm not sure what kind of driving you do but a lincoln locked front end might be tough to handle. I don't have experience with a lincoln locked front end but when my 4runner had a detroit in the front the handling got a bit tricky if I got over 25 - 30 mph.

I'm in the same boat with the hobby/transportation having to be cost free.

I just talked to a guy with a lincoln up front. Had a rough time explaining to the guy why it was called a Lincoln. Anyway, he said he doesnt have any handling problems, except turning tight when in 4WD.

Still though, rather have an auto locker up front in case of bad weather.

well here is the thing with a lincoln lock up front.
1. its free
2. only lock in one hub and you are in normal 4wd, lock in other hub also and you are fully locked
3.not as great a chance to break something as with a auto locker
4.did i mention free
