Has anyone tied into their dashboard lights ? I have a switch that fits where the blank is to switch on the fog lights I just installed. I would like the switch to be illuminated when I turn on the dash lights so I need to tap into the power wire for the dash lights. The switch I bought has an extra wire to do this. Right now, the switch only lights up when I turn on the lights.

Any input would be appreciated.

The solid green wire is the one you want to use. That's the variable voltage wire, 0-12V. It comes out the back of the dimmer switch below the cluster and pretty much goes to all the switches in the cabin. Tap into it anywhere.

FYI, if your new switch has an LED in it it may not dim well.

Thanks.. Makes sense because the extra wire on the switch is green. Much appreciated!
