Never saw one so carboned/cruded up; looks like you may have
an oil leak (ie blowby??) somewhere, maybe??

For future reference, there is a product out there that is often hard to find; call MIGHTY brand. Do a Google search. They make a foaming
throttle body cleaner (meant to be used when it is still all together)
works great to keep you from having to take it apart.

The idea is that the foam expands coating all the surfaces of the intake, you let it sit, then run the engine; they also had another
product, comes in a kit, Intake cleaner; amazing stuff;

Some small shops, tire shops, etc sell the stuff (MIGHTY),
just have to contact the company and ask who in your area
carries it.

What you got now you'll need a lot of elbow grease and just
about any solvent/cleaner.

Man that is bad.:eek: Brake clean/carb clean just dont spray around any sensers. And when back up and running I would use some seafoam:beer:.

I have used Seafoam also, problem is, it is not a foam, it is a liquid,
so it gets sucked straight in, but does not go everywhere.

The MIGHTY brand product is actually a foaming product that expands to get to all small areas, high, low and all over; it softens
up the crude, then you can spray whatever other cleaner you want
to help flush it away; BIG clouds of toxic smoke;
where an oxygen mask, or a respirator specific for nitrogen dioxides;
very bad for the lungs.

Wondering if you have bad rings as there is so much oil crud on the butterfly valve; have you flushed your engine recently, ever??

I run RISLONE in any used vehicle when I first get it, and then run it for a hundred miles before I change the oil; the oil turns very dark from all the varnish it is pulling off the internal parts; then I add
an Engine flush 5 minitues before I drain it; then regular oil
if that oil gets dark quickly, I do it all over again.
Often, that method of desluding an engine helps with future
problems like stuck oil rings, blowby, etc.

my 2 cents for today.

I actually bought this rig in July with a know bad motor, replace with a new Toyota short block (turned out to be a cracked crank) and had the head cleaned. https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=181264

Finally got the oil leak solved, I believe, cam oiler.

I am delinatly not sure when the intake was cleaned last or ever. When you say an oil lead with the blowby, what do you mean?

I was having an idle problem and so I looked at the diagnostic codes and came up with the TPS, I adjusted to specs (ohms) becasue they were off and still got the TPS error code so I got a new TPS. My question is, is it possible that the gunk in the throttle body is causing the error code and not the TPS itself?

I will definatly look into those products that were mentions for future use.

Thanks for all your input.
