"Gas tank needs to be replaced with fuel cell in a new location. Rear Fenders will need to be cut out to allow room for tire in new location. Rear corner body mounts must be removed to allow room for the tire during suspension articulation. Rear drive shaft will need to lengthened. Brake line must be relocated. Must fabricate new lower shock mounts. Uses a Rancho RS9000 shock. (Part # RS9010) Rear Traction Link HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. *No parts are supplied to make these modifications.*"

Weren't you already flipping your rear springs? Once the rear springs are flipped what does that add for length. After that how much more do you gain with this kit? Do you reallly feel you need the extra length?

Its up to you but I probably wouldn't due to the fact that I am cheap and it seems like a lot of mods and money for little gain (granted you don't have to do the gas tank). "designed to work with Jeep XJ rear leaf springs" also do you really want to put Jeep parts on your rig?

Already flipped the fronts for a 5" gain, my rears are centered so flipping them is useless.
Would set this up SOA, I think it said another 5 or 6" wheelbase. Could get the springs for next to nothing, buy my own steel for the bumper
section and pick up the rest of the pieces from BlueTorch or RuffStuff. Good excuse for more welding,
better flex too.

I also think that since most 40's in this area need the rear gussets and hangers relplaced anyway, this seems like a pretty cool kit.

We did something like this on my brother's 40. Except we ended u[ using 4runner lift springs on the rear. The rear mount is a summit machine flex joint. He wanted it super tall and needed the lift springs since he was sitting so far back on the frame arch. I have no idea how it will work though since he hasn't finished the rest of the truck.

I can't beleive that you would put jeep springs on your 40 Lane. My wheelbase is streched 12". I ended up extending the frame and rear body about 6" so that the rear tub would cover the tires so I would pas inspection. I would go with 60 series rear springs as I think the jeep springs might be a little soft (I have some) You could get hangers from rough stuff. Are you going soa both front and rear? Don't forget that you need a wrap bar for the rear. What did you do for a tranny?

I think it's a good idea, but I tihnk the kit is a little pricey for what they're offering. I would think you could do it yourself for much cheaper.

Lane I would nix this train of thought for a number of reasons, most of all being you have to lower yourself to crappy jeep parts. But also because it looks to be a ridiculous amount of money for not very much.

Little bit after fall gathering I brought Josh upwards of 250$ of composite stuff and said to repay me by building some stuff for your truck. So if you want a kick ass soa relocation, call in the favor with him. He will build you stuff way nicer than that crappy spring mount and it will all be toyota inspired. Plus he has some real good knowledge on how to set up leaf springs to squeeze the most flex out of a spring pack and keep it safe and reliable.

p.s. not to start throwing contradictions around, but you don't need an anti wrap bar. They are nice, and help with elongating the life of your spring pack, but by all means they are not necessary. Keep in mind that the mini trucks are stock soa and don't have any sort of device to counter act axle wrap what so ever.

And if its welding experience your lookin for it looks like im gonna do my sas sometime in the next month or so at Josh's fab shop. Since its right down the road from you come do some welding on my rig man, Josh has a nice mig set up and I can tell you everything I know in about 2 min. =P well maybe a little longer than that, but you get the idea

I agree it doesn't seem like a money saver lane. You're rear springs should not be centered, not trying to be a dick but you should go measure them again along the arc of the spring with help from someone. If they really are centered get different cruiser springs and flip them. I have both stock springs flipped and I like the wheelbase It is stable and I can still turn around on our tight new england trails. It's a good wheelbase until you link it.
As for a track bar you need a good one. Mini's didn't come with them but if u use soft springs they are not an option I destroyed a set of springs on my 4runer not running one. After seeing a proper one on Fox's comp truck I would run one if u run a decent soft spring and or it is sprung over especially if it's sprung over with cruisers it's not an option.

The lift springs I have are BDS, nice because they have the military wrap on both ends. But the
rears do have the pin centered.
I like the idea of that kit, but like others have said the price is a bit steep.
It's just an idea that I like and could build myself over next winter.
I would go with a anti-wrap bar.
