I've tried most of what you're supposed to try to no avail. My 2f is running warmer than it should. It started when I did a tune-up and valve adjustment. Thought maybe I did the valves too tight so I checked that and it seemed to make a difference for awhile. I re-did the timing and that seemed to help for a little while too. I burped it real good, that also seemed to help but not for long. Belt tension--checked that too. Its not over heating but its running at 3/4 up the guage instead of 1/4 where it usually sits. Doesn't seem right. It fluctuates up and down some too. I've read all the search posts and heard possibilities involving blown head gasket and burned valve. Its running ok otherwise. The water pump, thermostat, and fan clutch are about 3 years old--changed when I did the head-gasket. I was about to head back to New Mexico to be with my ailing mother. I had wanted to take the cruiser, I'm not so sure now. Any suggestions friends.....

stumped,

Put a new Toyota thermostat in it and see if that helps. Does it have a Toyota radiator cap on it as well? That made a difference on my mini truck and a 40 that my buddy had one time. Good luck!

Later,

A bad radiator cap can make it run hot.

That'll work too but if there is a problem it will still heat up.

Did you ever get this worked out?

Its turned into a comedy of problems. Installed new radiator, waterpump, only to have the seals leaking. Went to fix the leaks and found a crack in the t-stat housing.......
looking for a replacement........
so it goes. thanks for askin.

You've got until Oct to fix it!

I have installed......

.......A new radiator, new water pump and fan clutch. I threw in a new PS pump for good measure. Now its cooling properly. Yay. On my way to NM wednesday with boys and dog. Thanks for the input.

Why is my PS pump still groaning a little after I blead the system? Any suggestions what other causes there might be?
