Thoughts on going from G500 to LX 570?

I blame demuro. He sold the 200 and kept the g wagen.

The barbie convertible? I don't understand the market for those... I would not buy one if they were $10k.

Im a douche canoe as @sadovnik put it so no wonder I'm interested in a G, but those convertible versions are so lame.

There's a G wagon with factory portals I see running around San Diego occasionally.

Like this? I'll stereotype here... but the trophy wife has great taste with a factory G squared showing up the 74weld cruiser.

I think the one I see is white, but yeah.

I didn't expect this to turn into such a large discussion haha but that's awesome.

You've all nearly convinced me to sell the G and get an LX 570. Sure I'll miss out on the character of an older G, but I'm ready for something more comfortable with more amenities and on-road manners.

It's a win-win.

If I may, it's stupid easy to drop 33-35s into the LX. It's going to have more off-road chops than the G which is pretty limited in tire size.

It's also more rare with lower sales numbers as I see more Gs around me than LX (or the really rare LC).

Yeah I was looking at keeping the stock wheels for now and going to 285/55/20s which wouldn’t require any trimming or modifications.

The G can also fit 33s (275/70/18) on stock wheels with no modifications which is what I was considering doing when I need new tires.

You should now go to the G-wagon forum (if that is a thing) and ask the question there. Collect answers and compare.
