Thomas PTO winch

I found these two 8000lb PTO winches local for a good price and thought I would post some pics. The narrow drum has the same size drum as my electric Ramsey so it would hold 150m and the wide drum guessing 180m to 200m. I'm thinking of building the wide drum with the best parts from both.

Those look to be serious industrial type winches, which will pull all day long (as long as their power source is there.)

Regarding the 150m of cable versus 180 or 200m, do you really need that much? Remember, you only get the 8,000 lb. pull on the second wrap of cable on the winch drum. You would have to draw out a lot of cable to get enough pull to extract the truck from a bad mud hole, etc.

Thanks on the advice.
I may have got the rope length wrong as the wide drum has 10mm, narrow drum has 9mm and the Ramsey has 8mm wire rope.
