Damn, out of town this weekend. I live in Morrisville, would be up for it if we could work out scheduling.

Are these legal 4WD trails; if private property do you have permission? If so I'll try to make it.

No Juan, going duck hunting in New Bern. I see how it is man! :)

Anytime! If you have your hunting license, a shotgun, and waders....you got a spot in my boat. Although you are quickly approaching the allowed limit of Heep jokes.

I'll give you a call tomorrow, we hijacked this thread :)

THe land is private. It has been for sale and open without trespassing signs for over 8 years. There are trials already established and the land is used quite a bit. I can understand if you do not want to go.

With all of that said, do you have permission to wheel on this land? You are avoiding the question as if you don't actually have permission, you just assume it's ok.

Nice. Holy cow, this has gotten out of hand. I did ask about that because the expedition style trucks are not as popular around NC. To be clear the assistance was only on the cost of the parts and not anything at all for FREE! I got shot down on that idea. I would not go anywhere with any sponsor stickers on my truck unless it was a sponsered event at Uwharrie or elsewhere. Thanks for the heads up.

Anyone want to head over to Uwharrie at 6 am and run a few trails?

Thanks,

I wasn't trying to be a jerk about it, but I have inadvertantly taken a turn onto private land from a legal trail, after several hundred feet I stopped to scout and figure things out, and got a real nice view of the landowner's handcannon.

Therefore I won't go on private land w/o explicit permission from the landowner.

And not to beat a dead horse, but trespassing - aside from being illegal - is a major contributor to the problems we face.

No big deal. I should call the number. There are established trails that have been there for years. The weird thing is people hunt on this land. I wonder if they have permission. I just need to buy some land closer than Uwharrie and open up a 4wd park for moderate wheelers. 35 inch tires and less. Mostly a terrain park for lightly modified trucks just so we can get offroad without going down to uwharrie everytime.
