My turn. Not so much as this jobsite sucks but people are stupid vent. I replumbed a 4 family towards the end of summer and we just did our finish 2 weeks ago. Since the job is over an hour away I had to wait until I had some time to do my final inspection (today). I'm inside unlocking apartments and I hear a tv. The landlord rented 2 apartments already and he knew we were waiting on a final. We will see what happens when the inspector shows up

Found out today the plumbing inspector is also the building inspector. He was not very happy with the situation but not much you can do about it

You must've told him his ass looked nice in his tight fittin' jeans if he agreed to accept the rationale that nothing could be done.

Have seen commercial jobs red flagged with cease and desist orders because an employee of a future occupant had set up a folding table as a temporary desk to interview other potential employees.

Have endured threats of fines on self storage facilities by a fire marshal for having two locks that the keys couldn't immediately be produced on roll up doors, even though the inspection, being the last, was only for the fire access box on the facility gate.

On the latter, I cut the locks with bolt cutters and acted as if it were my stuff. Haha.

Disaster averted in your case, it sounds, so a good day.

I went to a job site many years ago and ran some hard cable for a police dispatch dept that was being built. there was this guy telling its got to be done this way and that way . I'm about done with the job and find out this ass wants me to use tie wraps every 6" . I also find out hes a nobody and being a blowhard .
I stood there looked him right in the eye gave him a full bag of tie wraps and told him " go fxxx yourself " " and do it himself " since we were there just to get the cable into the building .
He told me hes calling my boss and having me lose my job . I got back to the office and when the call came in my boss told him the same thing as me .

New NEC requirments for cable

Seems the new requirements that zipties need to be low smoke low flame or cannot be installed. Sorry if I do not have any links, but this is new info if installing data cable.
