Now that the 2018 Lexus Two Row has been on the market for about 6 months...I am curious if anyone had determined if the rear carpet from a Two Row would be an exact fit for replacing the rear carpet on a 2018 LC after removal of the third row?

Seems like it would offer an essentially OEM replacement after removing the LC Third Row??

Thinking about a late 2018 or an early 2019 and would like to remove and store the third row seats.

Want it to look as OEM as possible...Thanks...Tom R

P.S. Still prefer the LC over the LX but may end up with a Two Row LX to avoid the third row issue on a brand new truck...TMR

You would also need to see if the color is the same.

Here is wife's new 18 5 seater. My 17 LC is about 2800 mile away at the moment, so I can't confirm, due to both trucks not being in the same place. That said, we use the 3rd row in our LC all the time, and we never use it on our LX. I can confirm when I get the LC back home, but won't be till about end of August.

A 2018 2 row LX costs the same as a LC. Looking at a new one I would take a LX over an LC all day every day of the week and twice on Sunday. But then the LX vs LC debate gets beaten to death on here...

Anyone have a part number for the 2018 2 row cargo mat? I've got a 2015 LX that I would like to remove the 3rd row. Waiting on a good option for the rear mat.

I asked my local dealer and they said that a cargo mat for the 2 row version was not available yet. Weathertech doesn't have anything either. I'd love to be proven wrong on this though.

I just cut some foam to the shape of the holes in the carpet and have called it good for now.

Not speaking of cargo "mats"...I am wondering if the 2018 LX "Two Row" rear OEM carpet would install directly into an '18 LC from which the third row seats have been removed. Color will also be a concern.

My goal is to find out if you can make the 2018 look like an OEM "Two Row" by installing a new rear carpet ordered like the 2018 LX "Two Row"...which comes OEM with NO rear third row.

Thanks...

P.S. BTW...the '18 LX Two Row and the '18 LC (with three rows) do have similar MSRP...but I can't get the Lexus dealer close to the $76K-$78K that the '18 LC are selling for at many dealers...even with the $4K factory money now in place.

Not sure if you realize this, but there also seat bolt holes in the interior side trim. Just carpet isn’t enough for an OEM look.

Opps! I will have to take a look at that.

Another thing to consider is customer service at the dealership if you are buying new and your expectations. Customer service can be extremely differnat between Lexus and Toyota.

When my LX was under warranty I did the scheduled maintenance at the dealer, they would come and get the truck from me and return it or give a loaner for the day. The Toyota side doesn’t even make service appointments it’s first come first serve. Now that it is out of warranty I do most of it my self at the base auto hobby shop, my son and I are taking on the 60k mike AHC fluid change soon.

My wife has a Lexus 300h and I do enjoy their service loaners...makes life a little easier. I have on occasion used Lexus for my LC...they also give me a loaner for that...likely want my next purchase :) Not having to deal with the alteration removing the third row will probably win the day. I want to see the 2019 changes...including colors...on both the LC and the LX. Tom R

Dealing with the dealer Is something I never really thought about until recently. Over the last 30 years I’ve only had four cars: a LC 60, all road, g500, GC trailhawk, and LX570.

One of the last conversations I had with my grandfather before he passed away was talking about how Americans don’t buy American cars which led me to the 2013 GC trail hawk. I had it for two years of misery not only was the jeep horrible in terms of build and reliability the dealer was awful to deal with. It was in the shop seven times in two years. Left me stranded twice. At one point they had it for five weeks and couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. I guess I was spoiled dealing with luxury German car dealers as my forementioned car and my wife has always driven a Mercedes. It made me realize that dealers that sell non-luxury brands cater to a much different set of needs even in their high-end vehicles in the luxury brands.
