Do not know if that is what it is called, but i am looking for a tool i have seen / used before at a shop. It would hold the third members at any angle and mount to it using the bolt holes where you mount it to the housing. It had a base that you mounted to your work place and then had a round bar that slide inside of it making it so you could hold the third member at any angle you needed. I have looked online at Mac / Snap on / Matco , but could not find it. It was completely adjustable for either Toyota or Ford or any other.

I used a couple pieces of steel to bolt the case to my engine stand. You can also use a couple of pieces of steel channel bolted to your work bench.

Found one i believe to work. Built for ford but maybe a few tweaks and will work for my stuff.
