At 190 thousand it was mostly sand and little paper. I was surprised at the amount of dirt. I think the free-flowing new OEM gave me a nice throttle response initially. If anyone’s in doubt, just replace it. 18 inch swivel head extension from underneath and some knuckle scraping tighten from the banjo nuts up on top.
I happily paid Mr. T to replace mine and some other stuff last year. I have no issues doing it but I hate smelling like gasoline afterwards and cleaning up the mess. It caused my rough long start in the mornings.
Got mine done today. The only issue I had was that I need to get a good wobble 12mm socket and not a wobble adapter that goes to a regular 12mm socket. It kept wobbling too much and I couldn't line up the bolt easily. Had to put tape around the adapter and socket to keep it straight.
