Have something similar with the shifter moving in my car (1fz and auto), engine and trans mounts seem fine aswell.Hi desert rogue,
I am an expat living in Dubai,
I drive a 2004 LC100 for 11 months with 200K KM. I had/have same issue as you described and partially fixed by adjusting shift linkage that connects the shift lever and the transmission. i will post a picture later which will give you more clear information on how to adjust the linkage.
I have spent lot of time in researching about LC100 with 1FZFE. I would also like to hear from someone with similar aged LC100 to acquire share information.
Cheers.
The OP's truck is a 100 series and not a 105, the 105 could only be bought with a 1HZ diesel in the UAE. The head gasket on the updated 1FZ is no longer a problem like it was with the previous gen. That said we do love to use them hard out on the dunesCruisers and LX's are incredibly popular in the UAE and they aren't afraid to use them hard out on the Dunes. 166km is absolutely nothing for a solid axle 105 series. We have lots here in Aus and anything under 200km is considered new.
The only reason I can think of that it needs some of that stuff is Hot climate and Dune runs. Fix it up and enjoy. Keep an eye on the head gasket. They are notorious for short lives in the heat. Check CV boots and wheel bearings for sand entry etc...
Otherwise very low km find. Best of luck. Sounds like a nice truck.
