Thinking about buying a Land cruiser (1 Viewer)

I used to be a jeep man but sold it to make room possibly for an FJ. However I am quite ignorant when it comes to the Land cruiser world. Is there a thread or website that can fill me in on the differing engines, body styles, nomenclatures ect. .

Also what are the advantages of the Cruisers over Jeeps..I know this will get ya'll going. I loved my jeep but it was going to take too much to move it into what I really wanted.

Finally. If I purchase one I will be eventually using it as a daily driver, about four miles each way so not much driving, however I do want AC, and power steering, brakes. I will also be taking it wheeling so I need something that is capable and reliable. Any info would be great. THanks

Wheeled with Todd Yonkman this weekend with his new Yellow Custom FJ40 and we discussed his PRESTINE White FJ40. Other than a spring flip and a lift kit (so the 35's will fit), it is pretty stock and VERY CLEAN. No top. Standard Transmission. Todd tore this truck down and did a great resto on it. If you know Todd, he is a perfectionist.

I am pretty sure, he is thinking seriously about selling it. It is too nice to cut on but he would like to start a buggy project so he talked about selling it and buying a project FJ40. You might want to give him a call. (817) 845-3121

Check Craigslist Austin. There's a nice one for sale with 104K for $ 6,300ish. I'd buy it if I were in the market...
