Was in big bear last weekend and going 4x4 must be the thing to do at this time of year since it is too cold for the lake but not cold enough for snow. Most of my pics didn't turn out good but here is a few.

There was a crap load more than this including many cruisers (some diesels), another patrol, a few mogs, many jeeps, scouts and rovers but my camera was acting up and didn't want to take any pics.
I should have driven to some of the trail heads I know up there but I had my Mom with me and had to get moving again.

Seems like an odd winch placement on the mog especially with the fairlead location...maybe they have another set of rollers? seems like any pull would push the nose of the truck down versus pulling it laterally

But it's still pretty sweet!

Actually, not a mog.....it is a Pinzhauer (sp?). There's actually a few of them up there.....I remember the one pictured, a yellow one and a black(?) one as well.

lt1fire - do you get in this area often? I'm in Lake Arrowhead. Next time you're out, let me know...

I used to be in Arrowhead quite a bit about 10 years ago. We used to take my friends twin turbo boat up there and blast close to 100mph (we got to know the lake patrol quite well) Don't do that anymore... young dumb fun.

Drove through arrowhead on the way to big bear, but couldn't find parking in the main center to park. Actually saw that patrol in Arrow Bear

I will let you know next time I am there. I think i'll be back in cali for SNT next year (this time I am going to make it) so if you wanted to caravan to it that would be cool
