Hey Randy,
Someone makes a radiator cap with a thermometer built in. I think you can get them from Summit Racing. It's a quick way to determine if you're really running hot.

I'm still looking for someone who can explain the cooling system on a 3FE better.
We have a water pump that circulates the coolant, a thermostat controls the flow of coolant based on temperature and the copper shim contracts and expands based on the temperature of the fluid. The rest of the cooling system is hoses and passages right? Since I have a new radiator and a new water pump the only thing I can see going wrong is the thermostat.
