Her first comment......I like the shiny wheels.
Hopefully I will be able to convince her of the things I want to do to it.

OP: maybe you're going about this all wrong. It's your wife's truck, let her do what she wants with it, shiny wheels and all. Just make the point that to make sure you won't change her truck you need one too. Done...
