Good news.....the FJ60 drop steering arm eliminated the bump steer! Exclamation point because I’m stoked that that is all that it was. Now to get my steering stabilizer installed to tighten up the feel some.
This is a very easy to turn setup and it feels a bit like a Coupe de Ville in the wheel.

I also dialed back my toe to 1/4” while I was under there.

All the parts are back from power and are installed.

Looking good! You're going to paint that hood before the year's out. Paint the tank black, so it blends in under there.

Thats like painting a necklace so it won’t show up on your hairy chest! I paid $1600 for that thing! I’m showing it off like a gold tooth son.......

Got a little time in the Warthog today

@FJ60Cam gave me this great idea for the steering stabilizer. Two McMaster Carr tube clamps with a bung welded to them.

The geometry is not perfect with the OME stabilizer. It’s just a bit too short for the full stroke of the turning radius. I have a super bling Dobinsons adjustable stabilizer that arrived today but it was too long.

I’m going to get a removable stabilizer bracket from an 80 and Fab it to the 55 frame further to the passenger side and more in line with the drag link. Stay tuned for that.

Finally.....I can’t believe no one noticed I ditched the swingout. I plugged the holes with a cool OEM style pintle via @Racer65

I took my passenger side Licence plate light off when I put the swingout on because it hit the bar and gave it to someone. Now I need another one. @Pigeaten ???

I noticed when you posted the swing out for sale and then IG’d the naked Warthog rear-end (love it)...I just keeps my postings to thumbs ups, HaHas and wows!

First long drive today in the Warthog since the latest round of upgrades.

The truck tracks and steers very easy. The Coupe De Ville feel is done considerably with the steering stabilizer.

I still have a pretty good jerk in the wheel when I hit big bumps like my local rail road crossing and big dips on backroads.

Believe it or not the fully sorted mini truck setup actually felt tighter than the 60 swap.

Either way, she drives smooth and straight. I’ll get my toe in checked and my steering wheel straight next week at the alignment shop and see if that will get me feeling better about it.

Cowboy was waiting for me when I got back.

Time to turn to the Lake City Limo
