Well, as some of you know Mira bought her first Toyota this week. Shes a hard worker and earned every penny. Im proud of her and we had a lonnnng talk about learning her truck. (Shes got 2 years till her learner permit).
This club has made quite the impression on her and shes itching to pop the hood and start learning. I told her if she stuck to it, she would probably be the only kid in her class that could speak to every nook and cranny, nut and bolt of her first vehicle AND be able to fix it.

Who knows,...maybe I inspired her,...a little =)

2 thumbs up to someone who knows what they want and is willing hard to achieve it....
and proving age means nothing....I would gladly give her all my college books to be an auto tech. but they are little dated (from 1991) ..

Not the Pineland plate ........

Hehehe

Black ops truck Darin, electric butter knife sticker in the rear window optional :)

Good for her. Way to many of the young generation have no idea what a work ethic is or how to set a goal and reach it.

Well, sometimes she's a little too 'smart' for her own good..but the grades are great, work is meticulous..couldn't ask for a better kid. She spent the WHOLE first day detailing it. She's on cloud 9. I promised her we would take it to the next camping trip.

Personally, I'm hoping she wants an exoskeleton on it ;)

That's awesome and reminds me of what I wanted when I was 14. But my parents didn't see eye to eye with me. They only realize now that they could have helped me get my uncle's sweet pristine 68 camaro and i wouldn't have trashed it like most teenagers.
I'm glad her ambition is one that she can share with you and build upon for the rest of her life. And kudos to great parents that are excited about their child's wholesome ambitions. Keep up the good work. Convince her to get it ready for a Moab trip.

Mike, there was a Moab map in the glovebox...which shes been pouring over this evening!

She bought that truck with her own money? Jesus! When I was 14, I was busy not making money

Congrats Mira!

Like I always say, she's the most mature one in the House lol

Very nice score there. Too bad she got such a reliable ride, she may never learn to wrench on that one ;)

Congrats to her and quite the proud new owner look there. Yes, the shoes rock too.

Looks like 01-03. Single or xcab? 2.7 5spd I hope

The shoes are chucks or converse (a house favorite shoe).. you can special order them in any shape size and style..after about a dozen hints I got her those kneehighs last year..truly one of a kind, just like the kid.

That's still my favorite body style taco. I miss mine at times. Great lil truck.

I got a 1" body lift sitting on the shelf if she is itching to get her first mod done :D

33x12.5 streets and 34x10.5 knobbies would look great on that combo

Trust me, the temptation to suggest things is overwhelming!

I thinks its got 235s on it now, if I remember correct. Im trying to stay out of it and let it truly be her choices. She definitely needs sliders, front and rear armor..maybe some real led light bars..and ...awww Jason - look what you started!:-)
