**new member's rigs page**

Upload a pic and description of YOUR RIG to our Club Flickr account.

Go to Welcome to Flickr - Photo Sharing and sign in with the following info:

username: yankeetoys
password: toyota

Choose "Upload Photos" and follow the steps to upload a photo of your truck to the web.

You will then be prompted to "Add A Description" and give it a title, input your info as you want it to be seen. Check out mine for an example.

Please only put up ONE photo per member, as your rig or rig status changes you can go in and update or edit that photo.

On our being-created-new-webpage (Yankee Toys) we will set up the Member Rig page to show a random member's photo as well as a link to our Flickr account so people can browse the entire collection.

Enjoy and let me know if you ahve any questions.

-Dave

3 rigs up, let's fill that puppy up folks! :)

Lane's 74 FJ40
Rob T's 88 Zuk
Dave's 1974 FJ55

Another nice feature of the Flickr page si that people can "comment" on your rig photo. :)

So far, I'm only seeing one driveway shot....................at least put it on the lawn Dave. :D

The big Yankee Toys web updates is nearly complete. We've transitioned from a traditional, static HTML website to a blog-centric site and have added a lot of snazzy new features to allow more member driven content.

The site is still http://www.yankeetoys.org

Members are invited to add their rig to our Yankee Toys Photostream on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28028716@N06/ They can also upload or share their favorite videos on our You-Tube channel: http://www.you-tube.com/user/yankeetoys Username and password for both is yankeetoys/toyota. Please do not alter any other aspects of these accounts, thank you.

Club correspondence is through 2 channels. The first is the private email list. All club-specific notifications go through this channel. The second is here, our own chat forum on iH8MUD: https://forum.ih8mud.com/ma-nh-yankee-toys/

Big thanks to all the members who have helped make this upgrade possible and a continued thanks to Ken Flesher for providing servers space to our members.

added as a flickr contact... now i can see when anyone uploads a new pic! fun...

so very web 2.0 of you to set it up this way dave... have you seen this site? Modernista!

a fairly successful ad agency over in boston that does hummer, cadillac, tiaa creff and a bunch of other TV spots and websites...

Web 2.0 - or at least the appearance of Web 2.0 - is my life.

Considering I updated the old site about twice a year, and have updated the new one almost daily, I guess I made the right call. Wordpress blog couldn't be any easier.

I'm like blog/webpage clueless...you talked about "subscribing" to it. How does that work? Sorry if its a dumb question...:hillbilly:

Hey! Thanks! Worked Great! I have always seen those RSS links but never really investigated them. Thats a great thing! Thank you, and yes, I added the yankeetoys site to my page...:)

I have probably 50 feeds in my Google Reader, it allows me to quickly skim the headlines each morning and only dig into the specific topics I need to/want to read. Good stuff.

dave you do some amazing work looks great:cheers:

Hey Dave, I love how you set up the Flickr page... what do you think about doing the same thing to YouTube then linking off to it. Do people have vids they want to post?

BTW - if you want me to shut up and bug the local austin guys just tell me and i will shut up.

YT members only or open to forum members too?
