Hello all,

To start off, I would like to commend the site for the support and comradery it promotes.

In Feb. 2015 I purchased a 2000, LX470 with 90,000 miles. I plan on using the 100 for light off road use and camping. It is currently stock with no aftermarket upgrades. I plan on doing a light/medium build for overlanding. However, I have a leaky exhaust manifold which I plan on tackling first. From some research I found this is a common problem with the manifold used in the 100s, and other Toyotas. I already tackled the manifold leak on the drivers side, and replaced it with Toyota replacement parts. I also tackled rebooting my inner CV boots. So far everything else seems to be working as intended (knock on wood).

I am currently in the Black Hills, SD area. So I shouldn’t have any problem finding any short trips to test out the new 100.

I hope to have some pictures up soon of the 100.

Look forward to meeting everyone!

Welcome to the hundy club!

90k mile 2000 lx sounds like a great find. Pix are always a nice addition, even of bone stock rides. :)

(I've got leaking manifolds too.)

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

Here are a few pics of Lewy. Yep, I named it....

More pics to come of course once of have some notable upgrades.

I like the blacked out badges on the rear - did you do that or were they like that when purchased?
Thanks, I used Plasti-dip on the rear badges and chrome tailgate piece. The badges were looking aged/tarnished and the chrome was peeling on the tailgate trim piece. I thought the plasti-dip would be a cheap fix for now.
