It took me about 3 hours on a sunday afternoon to do it and that was taking my time. I have bad night vision as a side effect of lasik surgery and it is the best mod I've done. My retrofit is as bright and properly beamed as my brother's factory LR3 setup. Not bad for less than $200 (i used a cheap DDM tuning hid setup/harness).
If you are going to send it off, Nick as done a bunch of them and works at the retrofitsource, so I'd lean towards him. I copied his thread to do mine.
You can see where I trimmed a little too much at the top to allow the shroud to fit, but you cant see it
there is enough space behind the glass to fit
I've never been asked about them other than from other LC drivers, so that is a win to me if everyone else, including police, think they are factory. I ditched that hood deflector thing since.
