I stopped reading the first time because they said good fit for a 40 and 60, I didnt see that they had brackets for an 80.

the pair comes in at almost 900...

thats the same as Neoprene seats from Corbeau.

thats way out of the budget.... I need something that I could get at a pick and pull. but I cant find anything that says someone has successfully found a bolt in option from another make/model.

looking for a comfort upgrade.

and you were considering Corbeau? Maybe if it were a buggy. But not gonna get much more comfortable than cloth 80 series seats... you got the good ones... maybe find a place to change out the cushion?

they are manual cloth.

to make the recline work do I need a harness or just run a hot wire to the seats?

Did you look to see if the 80 sliders will bolt right to the seats or would I need to figure out how to make it work?

they are not bolt up but I could help you adapt them. It looks like it would be super simple with some angle iron. the 80 mounts are flat on the bottom, these have vertical rails.

I think they just need a hot wire.

They are some comfortable mofos, but I don't have room for them.

all the reviews said they were more comfortable. but at that price I couldnt pull the trigger regardless.

I dont know how worn out mine are compared to new, they dont show signs of wear, but they are 20 years old with 250k miles.

looks like there can be a big difference. https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/504344-how-replace-your-seat-bottom-foam.html

I am finding a lot of options to replace the electric leather seat foam, not many for the cloth seats.

Matt I'm interested in checking your seats out. have you cut into those LCAs yet?

lol, I haven't even pulled them out of the truck yet. They are buried under christmas presents right now.

I know how that is. I have projects and to do list items piling up. after driving the cruiser to IL Kait and I both have sore backs. I was actually on craigslist looking at 100 series when I thought maybe trying to do something about the seats would be a less drastic solution.

I've driven diagonal country 5 times, and it has always sucked no matter what car... until the Scion tC. That trip was bliss there and back... I also heard that some have put those seats in 80's... prolly the most confortable daily driver seat I have ever been in.
May need to adapt them, but very worth it.

the seats in our xc90 are unbelievably comfortable, that's what made me go look for a set. For the money and effort involved I think the ones I have are the best bet - at least worth a try. Plus, with the tan leather in the dark truck you can call it a King Ranch Edition and get one of those F150 badges.

Never been in a TC but I had a buddy with an XB it was comfortable.

I found a thread where someone put some scion seats in their 60 but I can only find scion radio swaps in the 80 section.

If you can help me get them in and working I think your askin price is more than fair.

the mismatched colors will bother me... but if my back is happy I can over look it.

let me know when we could have a work day and Ill help you clear out the garage.

I gotta say, I thought my Tacoma TRD seats were more comfy than the 100 series. Only thing I'm not 100% thrilled about with the 100. I got the name of an upholstery shop from a friend and was going to see about having some foam added or something.

If you could find a set of seats out of a TRD Tacoma I'd say they're G2G. I drove that truck to Dallas twice, and to Moab once. Never a second thought about seats, they were comfy enough that I never thought about it at all.

My Tundra seats are comfy... but the angle of my cankle to the gas pedal brings the suck, and 1 hour into a towing trip, my leg is sore. If I can set cruise, it's OK... but if I gotta throttle for a long trip, bah!

Ls 400 for me..
Like riding on air

I was big into Legos as a kid, and this thing is friggin sweeeeeet!
