Here's the rig. My friend is thinking about buying it for his fiance. I don't think it's a bad price, but I'm unsure about the rust on the frame... what do ya'll think?

is the frame rusted through or can you poke a hole in it with a screwdriver? It looks worse than mine but my rust is mainly body pannels with a few bubbles here and there on the frame.

Price. urgg If they are firm I would prob pass. If a rig has that much rust on the frame the body cant be good. To each his own. When I bought mine 2 yrs ago i though I go ta deal and paid more than that. I wouldnt take less than I paid for mine now. Although many people pn here think the opposite.

I'd say around 1500 if it is exactly what it is sais it is..

$2000 maybe a little steep. It's hard to tell if the frame is rusted through anywhere. If there really isn't any on the body and the carb just needs some adjusting, it might not be a bad price. Good interior/inspection?

My friend and I are going to look at it sometime soon... I'll come back with a more complete analysis of the frame. That picture scared me as well... Maybe it will really only be minor surface rust like he says, but from that angle it sure don't look like it.

Wow after seeing this picture, I am beginning to think I have some kind of undercoating on my truck. My frame is like a textured black color, along with the entire undercarriage. I've always thought that it was just 20 years of crud, but perhaps I am mistaken. Is it supposed to be bare metal like this?

Hate to say this, but the rust has taken hold. If they want a simple DD, then it might be a good truck, but for long term use, keep looking!
