Now that i have taken the pics and found the camera cable here goes.

Driving home last night from taking the wife to pic here truck from the shop that was looking at it from being rear ended last thursday i was in a bad accident. Driving down 401 highway i was doing 55 which is the speed limit i was coming up to a new intersection which is getting bad. I did not know how bad until this happened though. This lady coming from the oposite direction was getting ready to turn left in front of me had stopped, but then started inching forward. I just knew she seen my big truck, but i guess not , as she pulled out in front of me as i was intering the intersection. I could not go to my right as there was traffic sitting there waiting for their light to turn green of which it was going to be a bit as mine was green at the time , and i could not go to the left as there was traffic there so the only chance i had was to hit the brakes and hold on for the ride. Remember the wife was 2 cars behind me here. She seen my brake lights come on and then the front of the truck nose dived. On impact my rear tires came off the ground and then we both spun in different directions, me going on 2 tires and getting ready to flip said the wife as she was trying to stop in time also.

Enough talking for now, onto numerous pics. Sorry none from the scene as my phone died also.

Ouch. Glad you weren't badly hurt, but I'm sure this didn't help your ailing back.

Have a serious idea this will be a write off. Other company has already been out here to look and take pics.

Got to say other people involved got real lucky as i was able to make contact with the front of their vehicle and not the passenger compartment.

That'll buff right out.

Seriously though, sorry for your truck, glad no one was seriously injured.

Alot of people are wondering how i just walked out of a 55mph impact like that.

Plenty sore though. Going to the doctor in about 1 hour from now for my back and knee which slamed into the lower dash i guess.

Not too sure of the other 2 people, but i do know there were moving around but did go to the hospital. I think their airbags got them more than i did.

Time to find me another cruiser, but only to replace her for a little time. I am going to do my durndest to rebuild her.

NC SHP also told me there was a bad accident there every 2 days.

I've noticed in my short time of being a Landcruiser owner, that most accidents involving one that I see on the board, usually the driver walks away. I think 1/3 of it is the construction of the LC and I think the other 2/3 is that we put these vehicles into odd angles, camber, drops and line choice on the trails, know how they're going to react, get comfortable in the situation, so when something like this happens it's almost like a drill.

But that's my 0.02... Glad you're OK Darin! Get quotes from Proffit's and ACC and submit them for reimbursement!

Darin, Again dude, that sucks. Glad she gave her best in protecting you.
For as much damage as there is it surely looks like it took a big hit well.
Get better soon man, wishing you and the 60 the best.

(did the wife avoid the accident?)

Yes she did . I am so happy about that. She was on scene as soon as i got the door open though.

I am just to upset because i am so attached to her. You do not realise it unyil it happens. Kinda like family i could say.

Sorry about my spelling ya'll, i am getting alot of things wrong with numbers right now so just bear with me here. Reminded me of being in an IED blast just about.

Damn Darin, I am so sorry to hear this but grateful you were able to walk away. Yours was one of the nicest 60's I've ever seen, such a shame. Take care of yourself and listen to what the doctors tell you :) so these injuries heal up properly and quickly.

Got to start looking for others around here that are in good / great shape. The old boy told me they were going to go with NADA and i do not like that already. Going to probably have to get an attorny from the looks of it .

Thanks for all the good vibes ya'll. Means alot.

Sorry again i am not making the function this weekend, cause i was really looking forward to helping some Vets.
