We just finally got into the Foothills and I only had to lock the hubs for a few miles, oddly enough just above Copperopolis as far as "Two Oaks", that whole micro-climate/low laying valley thing was happening with some icing and snowfall.

So you all know, I want to say I already had made my decision about PMC based on the very short term interactions I have had with some of you outside of the meeting room, but wanted to be sure the wife was aboard for this whole club thing.

You are all a friendly and entertaining bunch, and took my goofy input and comments in stride as well as Dion and Larry taking the time to answer my questions. We're both impressed and can't wait to go out and have some fun, so much as the wife stated, she feels she can trust you guys to watch out for me when she's not with us.

My offer stands as far as helping do writeups, etc. as long as some of it can be in someone's passenger seat until I can either find another solid axled rig or decide how to go with the 4Runner. Same for maybe inviting folks along for some expedition/camping stuff that the IFS will go to.

Thanks again for a fun evenng!

Shane, Raquel, and of course, Sara. :D

Good to meet ya. I am the Newsletter editor that was in the back. Would appreciate any contribution you could make. The club is very family oriented and depending on what event there is alot of family participation.
Next up is Pilsbury mud run. An 80 can do it easliy but does need to be prepared to get scratched. Ryan Ramsey regularly brings his family out in the 80. We will be camping at oak lfats the fri. night prior to the sat. mud run. cold but good fire and fun exploring the snow with the kids. Target shooting is an option as well. We have a 9 yr old girl and a 3 year old boy. There are lots of kids in the club , I think Steiners in Sonoma have the youngest , a boy bout 1 1/2 yr I guess. Fun day in may at James Henry's place out in Guerneville is fun time to test your truck in a safe environment, get good food, let the kids play and check out the redwoods at Armstrong Grove if you have time.

Look forward to meeting the family, cheers, thanks for comin and stayin.

Thanks! As far as using our rig, I have a few things to deal with before considering the Snow/Mud run, my brakes specifically and the fact that I'm on 31's and unlocked IFS. *I don't have the 80 anymore.. victim of necessary funds, and that project wasn't even progressing with the funds I got from the 60, and why I ended up with a 4Runner instead. Cheaper to build up, so far. When things improve I'll likely end up with another 80, it just depends on what is on the market, I miss my solid axled pickup most, but that isn't a reality anymore with a family.

I am gonna call Larry back today about the brake thing, I have part of it figured out and hopefully he'll be able to fit it in next week as I want someone else to go over it once I do a couple more things. (RE: UltimateYota.com - Front Brake Pulsating and an odd discovery! NOT THE ROTORS! )

We are definitely wanting to goto Fun Day, and if I go myself and just snow camp I might be up for some target shooting depending on if my shoulder can take it now, fixed target, right, not skeet? I might still have some skills. ;) I have had a shoulder reconstruction since I last shot consistently, and most folks get bothered when I play with a sight to make it usable for a south-paw.

Like I said, I am always more than happy to sit shotgun and help out and write, no problem whatsoever, and as far as taking the little one along, hmmm, not just yet, she did Ok this weekend on a light trip, but I am not comfortable with camping, etc until she's at least 7-8mos old and the weather is better. Unless someone has good Eskimo hints to use with her. :D
