I NEED a set of slider....After the McGrew run I just did, I have been thinking more and more about some Trail Gear sliders.... Any one have a set? or know some one who does? I'm looking for input Good and Bad....

Thanks for your input!

I have a set on my FJ, they've taken a pretty serious beating with no bends or holes. The powder coating is so-so at best (scratched pretty easy), your better off ordering them bare metal and primer/paint with a rattle can.

I have em on the FJ. Get the bare steel and prep them well. Then rattle can them or you can Hurculiner them, I have been happy with the Hurculiner. Less than $30 for a half can, way more than you will need to coat these sliders. Good thread on the FJ Forum, search "Trail Gear Sliders, anyone hate them?" or something like that.

Thanks for your in put fellas!! I have read the post on FJ Forms, I just wanted to get some input from people on here too....

If you use bedliner on them and then scratch thru it the rust just flows under it, this spring had to get all that bed liner off to repaint them what a pain.... They looked good so I thought I was just touching them up but every scratch I followed the rust and it kept flaking off with rust underneath. maybe if you prime them well before so the rust can't run underneath. I primed and painted after getting all the bed coating off. I did McGrew last year and followed the trail team most of the day, they were slow but lemony made a few seconds of video on toyota trail teams site.

I was thinking about using a bed liner over the top of the powdercoat. and as aeveryone else has said giving them the Kyrlon Touch every once in a while..... Where were you at McGrew this year? It was a good time!
