my electric speedo isn't working and i get a VSS fault trouble code....i just checked all the wiring to make sure its correct and everything looks good. I would like to put the rear end up on stands and put the cruiser in gear and see if i am getting a signal from the vss sensor.....what is the best way to check it. its a 40 pulse but i am unsure of how to actually read the signal. thanks!

I just had a flash-back to the mid 90s GM pickup era  is this some sort of conversion??

Oscilloscope or Hz-capable multimeter. At 40 pulses per revolution, in 1st gear (4:1) and 700 rpm that's a frequency of 7 KHz (700/4 x 40). Takes a tool to measure it.

Seems like Win ALDL has a channel for it but it's been a year since I had a PC connected to my truck.
