Here are some pics of the test I was running before the final install of the Radio Equipment.
In this one You can see the mounting location for the VHF antenna for the my ICOM V8000.
Other than the 857 I also have an ICOM V8000, that will be installed year round, the 857 will be mounted whenever I go to a DxPedition or whern I want to activate certain spots, in Venezuela.
I tested the ATAS 120 at speed on the highway and it behaves perfectly, a lot less movement that I expected. I may finally settle to intall it on the rear of the 80.
I have done any more tests because I have found it a little hard to aquire the braided grounding for the base of the Antenna.
SWR was near perfect in all bands. in UHF it was a little highter but none the less it was withtin limits.
