Was wondering if these blanks match the 60 blanks? Looking up the part number, it just says "key" with no model description. They look the same as my '87.
Pretty cool old school TEQ I thought.

Key Blanks

Hey Joe E ,They look like the key fro my 1981 BJ42 key , pls send me one -heh heh .Note that I am "Joe E "too, and I moved from NJ to Ct.

Cool keys. The key is definitely different but there is a chance it will work. I do not have Toyota part number applications, but from the look of the key it appears to be a valet blank that fits Celica from 1970 - 1983 and other misc. models (that had valet keys) from 1969 - 1975. The “master” key associated with the above cars is the same key blank that was used on Land Cruisers (all series) from 1973 - 1982. Later Land Cruisers use a different blank that was used from 1983 - 1990, but the later blank is listed as an alternate for the earlier cars. The difference between the earlier and later blanks is the length of the shank, later is longer, but there is enough clearance on FJ60s I believe the earlier short shank key will work. So the question is will a valet blank work on all locks?
Bottom line, if the cut at the nose on your key is deep you might be able to use it. Compare your key with the blank from the shoulder to the nose. The shoulder is the neck down on the shank where the cuts start. If there is enough material on the blank, including shape of nose, to be able to cut an identical key then the key should work on all your locks. The shape of the nose is as important as the depth of cuts. If there is material missing, and in this case it will be at the nose, then the key may still work but more likely will only work with some of your locks if any. Hope this helps.

Cheers!
