Bomar,
I have the double bottle Big Buddy. It works great on bottles or off the grill bottle adaptor. It will run all night on high w/ two bottles. I'll have mine at Gilmer next weekend.

The bottles froze up on ours. I have used one since with no problems. Great little heaters. Get the extra hose for using a big bottle unless you like changing bottles often. The big buddy has a blower on it and that is nice.

Later,

I used to have a Coleman Blackcat. LOVED IT, scared the crap outta me though... be careful with whichever you choose and use.

The Buddy has a low oxygen shut off. In a Coleman type tent you would be fine but in the OZ tent I would definately make sure I left a window cracked. I just don't trust a part that is probably made in China with my life. That being said, I have used one many times with no problems.

Good point wise one.

Has anyone ever seen the Buddy shut-off? Eventually I feel I'll have one of these as well, just want to make sure it actually works...

In my research it has always been on the starting side that people have had it not want to light.

What most have done is run for a little before going to sleep and then cut off and on again before getting up.

I've never had a tent or pop-up that I felt was "tight" enough to worry too much. As Bodean said, I usually leave a window cracked anyway.

Damn how cold was it, Ive used them up here in Alaska and havent had one freeze up.

Say hello to Sarah for us! Hope all is well in AK, Still trying to get up there to see you. Damn military has other places it wants me to go for now.
