Hi guys, I have just imported the above car to Zambia. When it arrived the power window switches had been stolen. I have managed to source the switches for the the drivers side but not the front passenger side.

I am now able to control the driver's window and the back two windows from the driver side control. However, I cannot use the front passenger window. Is this because the switches are in series so the passenger window will only work if I add a switch or is that the replacement switch I bought is faulty?

Would I be able to control the passenger side window from the driver side if I add a few jumper wires to the passenger switch plug? There are five wires going into the switch plug. Any idea where I should place the jumper wires so I don't cause any short circuits?! I don't have a multimeter or any spare fuses.

The switch plug is configured as follows:

[1][2][3]
[4][ ][5]

1. Blue
2. Green
3. Red & Green
4. Black
5. Red

Obviously this will be a temporary fix until I can source a replacement passenger switch! Thanks in advance for your help.

hello
what model year your car is

if its 2000 onwards and have similar looking rear window switches as the front one

the rear window switch main unit is same as front passenger side switch unit

the uper plate has different size
its smaller than the front one

so f its the case u can remove the rear windoow switch either passenger or driver side and unplug it from the wiring loom

then u can straight plug it up to front passenger side

this will leave u with the switch not fitting properly in the opening of passenger door trim but the functional one

good luck
