I saw the bottom half of a local pickup truck that had been covered with Duplicolor about 3 years ago. It looked great! He said he used a roller. Has anyone had experience with this stuff on a FJ60? I know that there are some 60s with Rhinoliner or Linex, but I am looking for something that I can do myself if possible. If it is a bad idea, please let me know. I have a used Herculiner on my FJ40 and it worked fine but the little rubber nurds are too pronounced for my liking for an exterior coat. I drive on a lot of grave, so I need something that can take a beating.

you can get spray on liners with the guns on ebay for incredibly cheap. and if you don't have a compressor, you an rent one, again for pretty cheap.

i just havn't had great luck with roll/brush on liners, they peel and chunk up so easily regardless of how anal my prep work was.

I used Durabak and it's worked great. I coated the bottom strip where the snake blinders used to be. I repainted with semigloss black the other day, but the Durabak is still sticking strong. It just fades a little in the sun.

Duplicolor sucks donkey dick..

I can say that again if you want me to..

Get another brand.. You will thank me later. Duplicolor Sets very hard and chips easily..

Bare metal, painted surfaces, you name it..

Go with Durabak, you can roll it on and it is tons better than the Duplicolor crap.

Check the website, I delieve it is available without the chunks so you can use it for exterior applications.

I did the entire interior of my FJ55 with it, and am completely satisfied.
