I have a 2001 4.2 diesel. Some while ago the tilt motor stopped working. I thought I would strip it down and see if it was repairable, in doing so I managed to lose the plastic plug that holds the ribbon cable in place, I then had no choice than to reassemble and leave the main plug unattached. I have since found out that they can be repaired. If anyone has replaced there telescopic and tilt motors and still have the old ones. I would be happy to purchase them, do the repairs and if successful, post a description of the repair procedure.
