Guys may need some help here.

I have been researching for an answer to my question, "are all front end body parts on FJ60 compatible with any year?"

I am looking to purchase an '83 to repair the front end of my '87 from a guy in Medical Lake. His cruiser is for sale, down with a blown head, for $600.

My insurance wants to total out my baby! so that means they will give my $3750 for it cash and I have to give them $550 to buy it back... leaves me with $3200 and even less after I pay to have a rebuilt title and other fees...(bull****).

Thoughts here were to simply buy this '83 and fix mine and part the rest...? I need your quick thoughts here. I’m the rookie of the bunch. I've had my '87 for 4 years now and have never encountered any problems until now, so no real experience on this "fit issue" for the body, or any real body experience at all.

Thanks guys! I have cold beer if anyone is interested in swinging by to take a look at my '87.

I have a front grill and TOYOTA emblem I was going to put in my 60, but then sold it. Any interest?

Yeah, how much you asking for it? Is it in good shape?

Tonkota, if I end up with this rig, you are welcome to have the tranny and all your hearts desires after I take what I need from the front. I am not really trying to make any money on this; really just want my baby to get fixed. I think I could probably get a a $100 or so for salvage. But if you were to say, take it to your home and take the tranny off then we could salvage it... and if any money is made on that you can keep it all to help rebuild (if needed) the tranny???

And I want to extend this to all the rest of our Spokane FJ60 family... I am open to fronting the $$$ for this rig and getting together to divy up who wants what off this rig - over some beers of course - we just need a place to store it I guess... Any suggestions or interest? I will check this forum often but you can also give me a call at 509-951-7793 (cell), 509-647-0022 (home), 509-633-9650 (work) or even email shadmoore22@yahoo.com. Probably should move fast on this.

Bigndn... have you moved to boise yet or are you still in N.Idaho?

I have purchased the Landcruiser today. Talk to me guys, I am taking off the front today...

Carl says he can help me get it home on Monday at 2pm... Tonkota if you think we can get that home sooner please let me know. I will be back from Coulee on Sunday morning (man's gotta hunt). Later that evening I have a halloween party at my home for my kid's friends families and I am off Monday.

Are parts still available off of it?

Here's some pics. Make me an offer.

UPDATE: I still have yet to move this FJ, but it should be moved Friday (with help from Carl); but that is pending Carl and his wife are not in the hospital having thier baby (Good luck Carl!). If anyone has a means of helping me on Saturday or Sunday if I cannot get Carl's help I would appreciate it... I will make sure the cooler is stocked!

As for the parts... only parts I have taken are off the front end, and I am reserving the Drivers fender for the possibility that I may not get the kinks worked out on my existing one. The rest of the rig is open to any of you who are interested. Aaron did say that I could park this at his home... if that falls through it will be at my home (Shadle area) for the time being.

I am not sure how to process this rig. I am willing to make this a community rig we can all benefit from, but before I actually make that statement I would like for us who are interested to get together maybe in a week and discuss the best way to make that happen (sorry to sound so serious).

I'm excited to meet up with you all. If you have any questions or would like to help me this weekend give me a call... (509) nine 5 one - 7 seven 9 three. Also you can shoot me an email at shadmoore22@yahoo.com.

(Bigndn) The grill looks good, can tell by the picture (blurry) the condition of the crome finish. But yeah, I am interested. Text me your number... mine's on the previous post. Thanks.

Aaron, if Carl is unable to help me on Friday do you think I can still have access to your car dolly?
