I've spent days and have tried multiple computers and still having trouble getting techstream to install correctly. Anybody in the Eastbay area willing to help trouble shoot? Or anyone in the area have it and willing to check my AHC pressures.

Thanks for the link to that. I did get it to work on my work laptop which is 64 bit but for some reason it doesn't want to work on my old windows 7 32 bit laptop. Guess that's to trouble shoot another day. Anyway was able to get the AHC pressures checked and get the front in spec and the rear is going to need some work. Here is the pressure reading after I installed a slee rear bumper. I did all the adjustments before hand to get readings close to spec as possible then put the bumper on and took the reading again.

For future reference to anyone that may read this thread, it's not Techstream that's 32 or 64-bit specific, it's the drivers for the interface. If you've got the chinese knock-offs of the official Drew Tech Mongoose Pro MFC, you'll have issues. The official Drew Tech drivers for the Mongoose Pro MFC are fully operable with 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows AND is supported by developer. You're not going to get that from the knock-offs, so be forewarned.

Get your rear pressures down around 6MPa with, ideally, new coils and 30mm spacers - or at a minimum just 30mm spacers - and you'll be good to go. When/if you do the coils + spacers you'll need to readjust the torsion bars too as the front pressure will drop pretty significantly. It's a bit of an iterative process to rebalance your system but it will be for the better.

Picking up 30mm spacers today and going to get them installed over the weekend and see how the ride is after I get the pressure adjusted. I was also thinking of going non-AHC coils in the rear to help with the added weight.

I have a MINI-VCI J2534 Standard OBDII Communication Interface device.
W10 x64 loaded the FTDI 2/12/12 drivers for it.
the port is open
I loaded MVCI Driver for TOYOTA.msi and tried opening the FUT program - UAC responded, I clk OK, get a wait for 10 sec and nothing.
the xhorse-mcvi appears in TS and I select it and it won't connect.
Device mgr says everything is ok with the mvci.
Why won't the FUT program open?

that is ver 2.12.12 drivers

Not sure what the problem could be. I followed the link that unitofstuff posted and it fired right up. IIRC there was info on here about updating the drivers and rendering the cable dead. Something to look into. Sorry I could be more help.

I too tried with Win 10 - something in there is incompatible. Fortunately (for me) I had an old laptop running Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit - have version 10.30.029 running great using the knock-off MVCI cable with firmware of 1.4.1 For what it's worth Toyota machine requirements are limited to windows Vista, 7 or 8, in 32 or 64 bit flavors (64 after version 8.2 IIRC).

Looks like I'm going to just pickup a low-end laptop on eBay to run TechStream. Is the sweet spot a 32-bit or 64-bit, Win 7 version?

Then just the MVCI cable with latest firmware clone I can find? Looked at the Mongoose USB cable, but at $500 and still having to use bootleg software doesn't seem like a viable option for our limited use.

Anything I'm missing?

For $55 you can have a legit version of Techstream via a 2-day TIS Pro subscription. Hack or uninstall/reinstall/re-register to keep it running after your official two days are up. The genuine Mongoose cable is the pricey bit, but maybe you can try eBay or similar for a used one.

If you're set on going knock-off cable, stick to Win XP 32-bit unless you want to hunt for drivers of suspect origin. With the age of the 100 series, any development in Techstream past version 8.X is largely irrelevant to our platform.
