Techstream connects to my LX470 but not the 200

Hi all looking for ideas.

I can get techstream to read and recognize the LX470 (Virtual box windows XP version of TS) but it wont recognize the 200 series ECU (VDJ model)

It brings up the box in the connection wizard to manually select vehicle but does not auto recognise and wont manually connect either. Keeps saying cant connect to ECU. tried in acc, on and running

Hoping some techstream gurus may have encountered this before.

I kept powering the vehicle up into “accessory” mode and not “on” and would get some communication but wouldn’t pull VIN, etc. make sure you’re in “on” mode or pull out the garage and try with the engine running.
