So I got a new phone today. Since I couldn't buy Jeff's tires I got a new phone. Unreal. I was at the bar surfing the web. Showing Tim pics of when we went wheeling last. Granted it was an impulse buy and the web is free for a month, but, G. D. I thought it was really cool. I know some of the younger guys are thinking, so what. Big deal. I grew up with out cell phones. The first one I had was the size of 4 bricks and sucked. Now I can surf the web on something that fits in my pocket. Thank you for reading my realization and utter awe of technology.

i think i'm a luddite. all i want is a fone that works from my house and mine barely does that. "can you hear me now?" stuff it up yer arse, verizon guy.

and i had an argument in an outdoors store the other day about the impending death of paper maps. i said they were full of crap unless they wanted to buy me a printer big enough to print out a standard topo . . . and i have 3 different mapping applications and a GPS...go figger.

gee, what else? oh yeah, we just finally got a landline phone installed in our house last month. why? for DSL so i can run iTunes and steal music. still have no cable, no satellite. just rabbit ears. i guess we'll have to buy one them converter box thingers when tv goes all digital.

here's irony . . . i test software and hardware for a living and take care of all our computer stuff in the state.

man, it's friday and i'm feeling punchy.

got my box from CDan yesterday with new rear brake parts and axle seals . . . i really need to build a garage.
