One way to get around this temporarily is to use the Wayback machine at archive.org:

Most of that stuff is YEARS old and has been updated with far more current information.

Per the bottom of the page, the last update was December 2007.

My car is over 25 years old so whether the post is from 2007 or 2013 doesn't impact its usefulness. Many of the classic, informative threads in the forums are older than 2007 and often link to these materials.

But there are work-arounds and if the tech links are gone I'll get over it

Shiite, I've been referring people to the the links "desmog schematic", "desmog drawing" and "EGR desmog" for years. Is there a way to get the info back?

Just realized today that the tech links are gone. The desmog info, distributor info, and a few other things were great, and I don't know (don't think) they are all posted elsewhere on the forum. Any way to get the tech links back?

Links are still present, but so much of what is there is outdated/invalid and it has been removed from the menu structure.
