Presently the tech day for April is going to be at Iron Pig and is to inventory and dismantle the raffle truck and the parts truck to get things going on the raffle truck build. The date is not set yet but looks like it is going to be either the 23rd or the 30th. I believe Jon Sourbeer is heading this up. Jon speak up if I'm wrong on this.

On the money as usual old man:D

Keep in mind, I need volunteers to rebuild/refurbish subassemblies and right now nothing is spoken for. If you have a knack at rebuilding engines, axles, tcases, body work, or drinking beer, let me know.

Also, send me a PM if you have a tuff tote or similar appropriately sized storage container that you are willing to either donate or loan to the project (put your name on it). We will use them to organize and keep the smaller assemblies together (dash parts, brake and clutch masters, door hardware, etc.).

Thanks everyone!

Jon

I am reeaaallll good at drinking beer

I'm not as good at drinking beer as black ops but I'm willing to learn.

Preferences have been stated for the last Saturday in April. I will clear it with IPOR.

Tracy has volunteered to do the axles, but he is willing to share the fun if someone else also wants to do an axle.....any takers?

We have lots of volunteers to drink the beer....how about someone with a pressure washer and 55 gals. of Simple Green volunteering to clean up the axles, tranny, transfer, driveshafts, frame, etc.? Maybe we can do that in the back lot at IPOR to knock-off most of the gunga before loading the parts into everybody's truck?

I really need someone to step up to assay the engine and figure out what needs to be done.

Likewise, someone who knows what they are looking at needs to volunteer to take a peek into the tranny, t-case and 3rd member.

Come-on guys, we need to split some of this project into homework assignments because it will take forever if we try to do it all at tech days down at IPOR.

Thanks for seriously thinking about taking on one of these important tasks.

Jon

I havent rebuilt anything on a Cruiser but just about anything on an MG, Triumph and Rover. Depending on the date, I can help with whatever needs doing. Ive never done a Toyota front axle but am looking to rebuild my front next week so I am hoping to have at least one under my belt by the work date.

I think you have me confused with Tracy, but I'll volunteer to help Tracy with the axles.

Fixed it, apologies to both of you.:bang:

I have a pressure washer I can bring to Tech Day to help wash grunge off the truck/parts. Its not a pretty one, but it works.

Any other nominations for date? I like the last weekend in April.

John Smith says he can do the tranny and transfer-case; see post #97, here
