I have a need to learn some welding skills you guys, my 40 needs some love and I'm determined to do it with my two hands! (that and well 75$ an hour is too steep for me) plus welding could come in handy ;) so, here's my pitch... I don't have much to offer, except a pack of beer or whatever and my undivided attention! You name your choice of poison! (although I can't be spending too much, but you already knew that) so DLCers! Who wants to be my welding professor??

You got a deal ;)

Did you bring the 60 or the hybrid to Tuscaloosa?

:censor: the hybrid! I'm guzzling gas all day with my 62!!! :steer: actually though since my spring tune up I did, EVERYTHING is running much better... I could use some help adjusting my throttle kick down cable.... but alas I can get back and forth to TTOWN on more or less 3/8ths of a tank!!! now take in mind I live about 130 miles away... I get roughly 15 city and around 17~18 MPG!!!!!!! UN.HEARD.OF! but yes I will drive!

A 62 that gets 17mpg?

Which math are you signed up for? :flipoff2:

3/8ths of a tank = 0.375 of 1 tank of gas
20gallon tank / 0.375 of a tank = 7.5 gallons
130 miles / 7.5 gallons = 17.3 (repeating) miles per gallon

Doesnt come out that clean. usually there is a 1/4 of the tank that flys by and a 1/4 that slowly drops.

Yes. You need to fill up, drive around then fill up at the same pump.
Divide miles driven by gallons purchased to fill back up. A gauge will mislead you every time.

Using the same pump, and doing it several times to get an average, will eliminate other variables like slope causing the tank level to be different, and the inconsistencies between pumps as to what constitutes "a gallon"
