Hey, until we get the whole VP/Committees thingy figured out, we need to do some pre-pre planning and get some things figured out. First we need to set a date and talk with the Land Owner Dan, second we need to get the registration form into Toyota Trails so it's in the Jan/Feb magazine along with Rob T's (Landcrusher909) Cali to Tall Corn road trip story. You all cool with me contacting Dan about the dates? You want to do it before or after Labor Day this year? Rob, your not renewing your vows that weekend next year are yah? :D

Speak up folks, we need to move on this fairly quickly (couple weeks).

What other events are going on in the area around mid-August to mid-September? Flat Nasty is the first weekend of October, or at least it was this year.

I'm fine for either before or after Labor Day weekend, but it's typically cooler after August, but that's goes without saying.
 
As far as I know RIGHT NOW, Flat Nasty will be during the same time frame as it was this year. I just called Shannon B from TTORA and they are going to be doing TTORA Takeover 09 either the last week of July or the first week of August. MIOBI has their event Labor Day. So either the weekend before Labor Day or the weekend after Labor Day seems to be a good fit.

Here's a few thoughts,

1. If we have it after Labor Day, we run the risk of MIOBI trashing the trails if it is even the slightest bit wet and depending on how soon after Labor Day we host TCCC 09, Dan might not be able to repair the trails.... That being said, the trails could be torn up at any point and time before the event anyway.

2. For family reasons (Meaning that my whole family could probably make it), before Labor Day would be better. (Although, I will be busy the weekend of Aug. 22, 23.) Labor Day is Sept. 7th, so how about Aug. 28th-30th?

When it is all said and done, I'm really open to what ever.

Good point.

Either weekend works for me, but the weekend before Labor Day, based on what Jim said, sounds like the better choice. I'll just bring a portable AC. :)
 
My vote is for the weekend before Labor Day. What's a little heat & humidy gonna hurt??? :D

:grinpimp: Another road Trip Interesting ? It would be nice to bring the 40 out and see what it would do :steer: Lets just see what the year brings shall we.
