I was just talking about this around the house this morning. I was astonished when I saw this in the Anderson and Spartanburg papers last week. I don't think the Greenville paper even carried it. Every day I've been expecting for CNN or MSNBC to pick it up and roast us for it.
SC is notable for believing pretty firmly in citizen self-protection. The carry bill is called something like 'the law-abiding citizens' self-protection act'.
But I didn't know this applied to gubs as well.
Maybe I should pick up a few, what's recommended for Home Defense?

One of the few cases where we are not the worst in the nation. Better get your guns now. Obama and Biden are extreamly anti gun. Dont be suprised to see lots of proposed restrictions over the next 4 years. When will these idiots realize that most gun laws only affect law abiding citizens who go to gun stores. Last time I checked Nathaniel on the corner didn't ask for a background check or require a waiting period. I dont have a problem with the checks to make sure your not a felon or have mental issues but some of their crap is rediculous. Example.. the "assault rifle ban" on of the qualifiers was having a bayonet lug. When was the last time you heard someone getting beyoneted to death. Wake up. People were killing other people long before guns came around. Guns save lives everyday. Cops cant be everywhere.(trust me on this one) sometimes people are just going to have to take responsibility for their own safety.
P.S. Check out the stats. Every state that has passed a concealed carry law has had marked reduction in crime rates.

Yuppers - I protect myself. It does hurt though to keep rolling over a pistol on your hip when you are trying to work on your truck.
I went to Traders on Wade Hampton last Friday when they opened. I had to wait about an hour before I had something in my hands or was able to talk to someone. If the fire marshal had made a visit he would have shut the place down or formed a line in the parking lot. I've NEVER seen a gun store so packed. By the time I got to other stores, they were all cleaned out.
