Well I figure I should post this hear. Some of you may have noticed that after nearly 10 years my avatar has changed. Porter passed last winter. We just acquired his great nephew from our same breeder and have a new Malamute in the house. Name is Targhee. Now 9 weeks old. Getting along great with our mini Auusie too.

My vote is Mal. I love the Bernese too but between the shorter expected lifespan and the extra size we could not go down that road.
