I have until October 18th to renew our domain name and hosting for our website.

Do we want to maintain a web presence, or just use IH8MUD?

Let's discuss.

For what it's worth, I think we should maintain a web presence, for the simple fact that it was very useful for event registration, and posting pics (granted that wasn't all that intuitive), new member info, etc. It's also a means for us to advertise the club that's simple and affordable. The cost for another 2 years is only $90, which I think we can afford with our dues that have been paid in.

I do want to see the site re-worked to make it easier to navigate, etc, and give everyone their own page to do as they wish (within reason, ie. No Adult Content).

Toss out your ideas, comments, and concerns. Hopefully we can come to a decision on this in the next couple of weeks.

I just spent 10 bucks on a sticker.

Really, I think it will be easier to identify us rather than "go to mud, click on ___ then scroll down to ___ then click on Iowa.

I do think we need a link to our mud forum on our web site.

The website is down. I have renewed our domain name and hosting on my dime, if the chapter decides at the annual meeting to reimburse me, that would be swell, if not oh well.

I'll be working on rebuilding the site over the next few weeks, time allowing.

I intend to give all paid members their own page to do what they want with, ie. pics, blog, etc.

Thanks! It's always fun for me (being the big geek I am) to work with a new product.

For all current members, you are welcome to register and I'll add you as a site editor. This means you can edit your page and everyone elses for that matter. (Please behave...and yes I mean you Wickett!)
If you aren't comfortable with the interface and would like me to put together your profile page, take a look at mine and send me something along those lines. Also, if you would like a picture gallery, I can add one to your page as well.
