I know this subject has been discussed to death on MUD and elsewhere, but I wonder if anyone has found any new tall skinny tires out there.

Interco has a new AT tire out called the VorTrac but is currently only available in a 35x12.50.

Specifically looking for AT or mild MT tires in the following sizes:

- 34x10.5x15 or 16
- 34x11.5x15 or 16
If the diameter is a true 35 or less...
- 35x10.5x15 or 16
- 35x11.5x15 or 16

I am aware of the Q78's, LTB's, and SSR's.

Thanks

I am in on this hunt with Randy, too bad the toyo tires aren't just a bit higher but so far they are wining the prize for me at 33.6 x 10.4 on a 16" wheel. the next in line fofr me would be the bfg AT 295 75r16 which meassure in at 33.2x 11.5.
does any one have any experience with the toyo tires off road?
for me these tires are going gto be for treking and DD on my fj62, pulling a trailer with a loaded down cruiser in the mountains sucked!! and it was not a good use for mt's figure i will save my Mt's for wheeling trips.
anyway back tot he thread still looking for a 34x10.5....

Looks like a good find Pete. The largest tire in this model line looks to be a LT275/70R18 - 33.6" x 11". Oooh so close, but is that on an 18" rim? If that's the case I ain't puttin' no 18's on a cruiser. We'll leave that to those Magnum drivin' fools.

I'd run the Toyo MT's if they came in a 10.5 or 11. They were great on your 80 on and off road. The Michelin's XZL's might be a good solution but no one seems to be able to get them.

Shopping for a DD HJ47 that...I'm...shopping for... Yeah, that makes sense.

39's, perfect...for your 80. XZL's would need to be siped for year round use. The solid tread blocks would probably act like BFG MT's which are horrible in snow and ice. We need a club siping tool. :D

the 80 is DONE! as in no more mods... except for the... well... and the...

the 80 is DONE!
That's the silliest thing anyone with a cruiser could say. I've said it plenty of times and now Amanda just laughs at me and . I've started adding "...for now." which helps keep my word in tact.

Why would you want to be done with it anyway? I can think of laundry list for you if you need help. Maybe you need to buy an old cruiser. :grinpimp:

I'm hoping to throw a set of Q78's on 60 series wheels under my 40 at some point. I need to get it done so I can start on a stocker FJ40. :D

Heavy 39's under the weight of an 80 are a tough proposition. Doable, but tough.
