I recently installed a sound system (radio, speakers, amp, sub) in my 2000 LX 470 and now my tail lights aren't working. When i brake they do turn on but in the night when my lights are on my tail lights dont work.

ALSOOO

The lights on the AC controls aren't working as well as the lights in the gear box (P R N D 2 L)

Are these linked in any way? Do anybody knows what this is? I would rather do it myself if possible cuz the guy who installed it is kinda far from where i live. Is it anything that i can do or do i have to drive back?

if you don't find a blown fuse you will probably have to take it back. the installer may have tapped into the wrong wire for the radio installation (thought the illumination wire was the ground wire for instance) or they could have forgot to plug in the dimmer switch or something like that when they had the dash apart.
if you do find a blown fuse and replace it and it blows again you will still have to take it back.

Gotcha. Thanks! Do we have 2 fuse boxes or is it just the one in the engine?

Fuse locations per 2004 FSM.

Good timing for this thread. I dropped off a rented camper trailer last PM and my tail lights quit working. I had to drive to work w/o rear lights today. Checked the fuse in the driver side kick panel and sure enough the tail light fuse was blown. Swapped out the cigar 15A into the tail light fuse slot and I am ready to drive home with tail lights tonight.
