So I have been doing a few road trips back to back and not spent much time cleaning. Today was the day, I got to clean up the rig, and in the process I noticed that the hatch and tailgate are rubbing (attached photos).
I stoped in the local Toyota dealership and they said that while it certainly isn’t supposed to do that, they didn’t think a warranty claim was a good move since all the body shop (they outsource body work) would likely do is paint the rub spots and call it a day and all my panel gaps look really good. This is on a 2016.
So what should I do here:

So what should I do here:
- Clean it, hit it with some rattle can clear and then clear bra over it.
- Just go for the clear bra.
- Do the warranty claim and ask nicely to adjust the hinges.
- Something else.
