Found my truck! Toyota dealer down in National City has what I want coming in within the next couple of weeks if Toyota's shipping dates are any good. Deposit down and it's mine.

Not many/any mods to do outside adding a tonneau cover for the truck bed and figuring out how/where to mount my ham radio.

What are the odds the first thing you'll do is detail it with your world famous wash and wax process.
Congrats

I definitely love this trim level. I'm curious to see the performance of the hybrid also. They also have open aux switches to add your accessories. They're really catering to the off road with this trim.

It'll be high on the list of to do's as the truck will sit outside. Too long to fit in the garage, even with the 5' bed.

Don't know what I'll do with those auxiliary switches. It comes outfitted with everything I'd have added to a TRD Offroad, and it's all covered by the factory warranty. Never did use the roof rack lights much on the Landcruiser. Doubt I'll go back to a fridge as much as I loved having one. About the only thing Toyota didn't put on this truck is a 2nd battery and battery separator. Wouldn't run a fridge without that.

I'll be interested in the hybrid as well. Drove the regular 4 cylinder turbo and it was WOW! Can't imagine what another 50 horsepower will be like. It gets a few more mpg.

I do need to add a tonneau cover to secure my gear though.

She's mine!

Consider running the fridge when in camp using a Jackery Explorer 300. It is very small/portable and will easily run the fridge for two nights without a recharge. Plug the fridge into a hardwire on the truck when driving and also recharge the Jackery at the same time so you are always at 100% when rolling into camp. I have been doing this for a couple years now and don't have to worry about adding a dual battery system or killing the truck battery overnight.

Not bad for $300. I have solar panels and truck has a plug in the bed to use when driving. Need a new fridge tho too!

I do essentially the same thing as Chris, with a Goal Zero Yeti 500, a portable solar panel, and a single Odyssey truck battery. I'm surprised at how easy & effective it is!

Are those factory rock sliders I see on the truck? Do they look beefy enough for serious trail use? Sweet looking truck!

Yes, factory sliders, arb front and rear bumpers, full underbody Skid Plate, OME lift front and rear with 33" tires, fog lights up front and a snorkel too boot! Rear locker, crawl control, sway bar disconnect all ready to go. It's also gotcthe same coil spring suspension as the Landcruiser! It's a well built truck. There's a built in air compressor in the bed too!

Very nice. My wife took my cruiser for a spin the other day as I was washing her Genesis g90. She said she liked sitting a bit higher which gives me the green light to look for a new(er) cruiser for her (me). The dealer of course said that there is a 15k markup, so maybe I will wait a bit.

First two mods. Got the ham radio mounted and mounted a new shorter 48" hi lift to the bed rails with mounts designed for the hi lift. I do have the Jackery battery @Otis recommended above. Jury is out on a new fridge. They are pricey these days!!
